Week 48 - October 17 - 23

The Mattesons came to visit this week! We saw the boys start to put the shape blocks through the appropriate holes this week--just a couple times, but it was very exciting nonetheless.

Wednesday night as I was getting Levi ready for bed I noticed a rash on his torso. At a closer look we could see it was on his scalp and even on his upper thighs. He also had a low fever. Since Levi's parents were here we went together and took him to urgent care. He tested negative for strep, and the doc thought she didn't see any more infection in his ear so she took him off his antibiotic in case it was an allergy (though she suspected not).

Two days later the rash was subsiding but he had horribly red, dry eyes. The skin around his eyes was almost purple, and on top of it I could have sworn by his bad sleeping that his ear was in fact still infected. So I took him to his regular doctor on Friday and she did see a third infection. She said tubes are probably in his future. Poor baby.
