Week 8

Their eighth week was by far the hardest. Lots of spitting up and fussy nights, but by Friday the 15th I took Everett into his ped's office and she suggested trying him on Zantac. I hated to put such a little munchkin on meds, but we decided to go ahead and give it a try, and we couldn't be happier. He is a different baby. Well, he's still Ev--feisty and physical, but he doesn't have screaming bouts for no reason anymore (now they're for good reason, like getting his diaper changed, loosing a pacifier, or waiting on slow parents to feed him).

For a couple weeks now the boys have been looking at us for longer periods, although they don't track yet. Their development is similar to babies who are their adjusted age and not their chronological age. Since they're late-term preemies they'll catch up in their first year, but right now the differences are pretty apparent.

I know you all just came for the pics, though, so here you go!

Everett and Levi sharing a crib momentarily:

Everett's great faces. This isn't a smile in response to interaction, just a random face. But isn't it great?!

And Levi's sweet faces, too. I can't get enough of these boys! I just wish I could take them out more to show them off but we're still quarantined. We have gone to church a couple times but each time they've gotten sick a couple days later. Not sure it's related, but we're definitely staying home for awhile now.

I can't believe how big they both look. Big round kissing faces. Can't wait to get my hands on them.

OOOO, look at those cute dimples on Everett! I think that he looks like big Levi and little Levi looks like Jen, but it's hard to say since I can't look at them face to face...miss all 6 of you!

Lucy is sitting on the couch with me looking at the pictures. She is waving her arms in the air and smiling super big at every picture.

They are just adorable Jen! Glad to hear the zantac is working, that is what Lucy is on....but we didn't figure it out until the end of the 4th month.
miss you
