The boys are doing well. A couple weeks back I took little Levi in for the rare symptom of excessive whining. I felt like the worst mom--don't all babies whine?! But I knew something wasn't right. The doctor had an x-ray taken and his gut was FULL of gas pockets. I couldn't believe what I was seeing! Black clouds everywhere. It was determined that he is lactose intolerant, so we put both boys on soy formula. I was glad to take them off the high-calorie preemie formula anyway, they were gaining weight so fast! The only drawback is they are eating more often now (we're back to a 2 1/2 hour schedule during the day) and they're also constipated. I know, too much information, but since this blog will likely serve as the boys' baby book, I must record these things! We've been trying prune juice with their formula and now I'm on to pear juice. We'll see. Nonetheless, Levi is back to his old self--he loves to be held and it's hard not to squeeze him constantly.
Both boys are smiling and cooing quite often. When they've had a good night's sleep or a good nap they awake smiling and so snuggly, especially Everett. Getting him out of his crib in the morning is like Christmas. LOVE IT. Speaking of naps...this is an area we could improve upon. They are fine being laid down in their cribs to nap, but we never get more than 30 minutes out of them unless they crash in other places, even the couch after a meal. They don't even require rocking or encouragement, they just want to sleep where they want to sleep I guess. Fine by me as long as they sleep! What the books say is true: Sleep begets sleep. The longer they nap the longer they sleep at night.
On March 2 I went back to work. The boys are being cared for by a good friend from church. It's going wonderfully and we feel super fortunate to have such great care for them. They already kick and coo when they see her, so you can imagine how much they'll love her as they get older!
WEEK 14 PICTURES
The boys were dedicated on Sunday, February 28.
Our second outing to a public place--Walmart. Nothin' but the best for our boys.
Naked boys of the week. Ugh, I could just nibble on their thighs. (Um, actually I do.)

I love the picture of them for their decication. The little smile and dimples are to die for.
They're getting so big!! You got those cheeks you wanted. And I love the naked picture of the week. I was reading to take a picture each week or month with the same item...bear, chair, ball, etc. So fun!
